This is MAJOR news!

To all prospective puppy people.
People are being scammed when trying to buy a puppy.
Please be VERY careful when trying to buy a puppy. Ask for the breeder's credentials. Ask if they belong to any breed specific clubs or all breed clubs.
Ask about health checks done on the parents of the pups.
Ask about the puppy's shots. The puppy shots is a series of 3 that are given 3 weeks apart. Example ... If you are buying a pup 10 weeks old he/she should have 2 shots out of the series done or at least be due for the second immunization.
Ask how many times the pup has been wormed. The litter should be wormed every 2 weeks until a fecal test is negative.
If it is an older pup ask why the pup is for sale.

Ask about transporting the puppy to your home. There are legitimate pet transportation services.
If they are a ground transport they need to be certified with the USDA. If they are not do not use them.
If the pup is to be flown a Health certificate is MANDATORY & expect to pay anywhere from $30 to $50 dollars for the certificate. The transport service takes care of their own fees. The person selling the pup does not collect the money for transport.
These scammers are giving breeders that have integrity  reason to be concerned.
Most importantly........
Anyone selling a puppy that is legit will never ask you to send money via western union. If the person selling the pup does decline & then contact the FBI fraud division.
